Hi Swalton,
Another suggestion that you can try is to just take pictures of your receipts with your phone using the regular camera app, NOT the QB app. Then when you want to add the receipt to your expense you can choose to add the already taken pictures instead of choosing to take a new picture with you camera.
It is pretty shocking that QB hasn't identified this issue and resolved it already as it significantly damages the usefulness of their product and alienates all of their users.
Hope the suggestion above helps.
This occured after QB sent out an update to the software. I updated the software and the interface changed and the beep was implemented. None of the troubleshooting steps they've provided work because it's a setting built into the app with no option to turn it off. Hopefully the kind developers at QB will resolve this with another update soon. Until then we'll just have to deal with the beep.
turn on do not disturb and it will silence it, at least it will on android phones...
Wowsers! OCTOBER 2020......Thats Garbo
We found a work around it!
The annoying beep is still going, but here is some hope for you all.
We also understood that it is not prime but because Intuit seems to be very slow in fixing this issue, we had to come up with something temporary until they come with a concrete answer.
So what we currently do to avoid having to hear that beep every time the app scan a receipt is as follow.
#1 If your phone or tablet allows to link a BT headphone set, connect it and place it to the side while scanning.
or #2 Connect hardwire headphone if you can.
We tested on a Samsung 20 ultra seems to work for us.
Until they can fix this issue this is what we came up with. Hope this help someone else staying sane.
you can silence the beep by activating do not disturb on your phone as well.
