What is the difference between an open invoice and an overdue invoice?

Let me share some insights about invoice's status in QuicksBooks Online (QBO), bsnmusic

Invoices are marked as open, overdue, and paid. Open invoices means it has an open balance but is not overdue. While overdue ones has an open balance and is past the due date (based on the terms you set for the invoice).

Any time you want to review your invoices, just go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions and select All Sales. We can also go to Get paid & pay and select Invoices. From there check the Status column to see where invoices are in the sales process.

If you are using QBO mobile app, we can check the status by follow the steps below: Track the status of invoices in the QuickBooks Online mobile app. Here's an article you can refer to for more details about creating and sending invoices in QuickBooks Online.

To view your balances correctly, we can pull up your Account Receivable aging Detail report. This shows all your transactions and their balances. Just follow these steps below:

  1. Click on Reports from the left panel.
  2. Look for Accounts Receivable Detail on the search bar.
  3. Change the Report Period to All Dates.
  4. Press on Run Report.
