Can i have automatic numbering in expenses?

Greetings @grkmand. It is my pleasure to provide you with valuable insights regarding the automatic numbering feature for expense transactions in QuickBooks.

 

The option to have automatic numbering in expenses is not currently available in QuickBooks Online. However, I understand how this feature could greatly benefit users in managing their expense transactions more efficiently. Therefore, I recommend submitting feedback to the Product Development team to add this feature in future releases of QuickBooks Online. Your suggestion will be appreciated and considered for implementation.

 

Here's how to submit feedback:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Then select Next to submit feedback.

 

 In the meantime, we suggest using the Reference Number field to track all your expense transactions in QuickBooks. Please be informed that you will need to manually input the number when creating expenses. Please refer to the attached screenshots for detailed instructions on how to effectively utilize the reference number feature.
