Hello, @david.cott.
I'm here to help you in paying for your QuickBooks Online subscription.
Yes, you can pay for your subscription, so your product is up and running. You'll need to set it up or update a payment method if you don't have it yet. That way, Intuit will automatically get the subscription payment on your card. QuickBooks accepts with Mastercard, Visa, Discover Card, or American Express, and even set up Direct Debit. Also, you'll have the option to pay monthly or annual billing to save some pennies.
If you're currently in a trial and need to pay a subscription for the first time, please go to the Gear icon. Then choose Account & Settings, and click Billing Subscription. After that, hit the Subscribe button and enter your billing information.
See the sample screenshot below:

For setting up a direct debit:
- In the Billing Subscription, click Edit beside the payment method.
- Select Direct Debit.
- Enter your credit card information.
- Tap Confirm or Save.
For more information, check out this article: Use direct debit to pay your QuickBooks Online subscription.
If your subscription is suspended and you'll want to pay it in the system, you'll need to update the payment details. Ensure to log in as Master Admin to go through the process. For the complete instructions, click this article: Get help with your suspended subscription.
However, if your account is canceled and you'll require to get back, just click the Resubscribe button and enter your billing information.
You can always check your payment history to review all the charges on your account. Please go to the Billing & Subscription and hit View payment history.

Additionally, please browse these pages about handling subscriptions, company information, data, and security.
Keep me posted if you have other QuickBooks concerns. I'll be here to help. Have a great day ahead.
