With unexpected errors we normally attribute them to a browser issue which may require you to clear browsing data before trying again. I have outlined below how you can clear your cache & cookies depending on the browser.
On PC browsers e.g. Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer to prompt the clear data screen please press on your keyboard: Control + Shift + Delete
On Mac browsers e.g. Safari: Command + ALT + E
From there make sure you have specifically selected Cache + Cookies
Then select Clear Data
That being said if you have been experiencing this issue for the last couple of days I would encourage you to give our Customer Success team a call on 1800 114 837 (8:30am - 6:30pm, Mon-Fri AEST) so they can check the file for you and get you access to the file's GST centre.
Thank you Steven,
I logged in to try what you suggested, and I didn't need to, the GST tab loaded as it should.
It was more annoying than a problem as it was loading up from a QBOa account with no problem only from the client account was unable to load.
The issue seams to be fixed now.
Great to hear!
If the issue persist in the future please try the clear browsing data steps suggested as we find it irons out a lot of unexpected errors that can occur on QBOA and company files.
Thanks for getting back here in the thread, Joe.
I appreciate you for performing some browser troubleshooting on your end. Since the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. This way, they can assign a representative to check your account in a secure environment and conduct further investigation to determine the root cause of the error. I'll write the steps below to get you going:
See this article for more details: QuickBooks Online Support.
Furthermore, here's an article to help you manage GST inside QBO: Edit GST settings in QuickBooks Online.
Please let me know how it goes, Joe. I'm determined to provide further assistance if you need me. Stay safe, and have a nice day!
