My QBO is running extremely slow, Internet speeds are fine, my PC hardware is more than sufficient enough and all updates are up to date both for windows and my browser.

I have found that loading times between pages and forms is especially slow, entering data is taking forever to do as typed text only shows up about 30 seconds after being typed. This is severely slowing down my business.

I understand you are experiencing slowness in your QuickBooks Online account. QuickBooks Online (QBO), like all modern web-based software, also relies on your computer’s processing power, the bandwidth of your internet connection, and the available memory (RAM). When there’s a shortage in any of the areas will affect the performance of the online program.

 

I suggest using incognito browser when logging in your QuickBooks to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. Private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

 

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

So this is happening on all my microsoft devices, my mobile phone app runs fine on my apple Iphone. However it is not the Internet speeds as I have tested this and the upload and download speeds are more than adequate, the PC is up to date and has plenty of ram and processing power, there are no issues with the PC's as Norton would have picked this up. It was all running fine until about a week or so ago and now takes forever to load between even the simplest tasks. It does not run any quicker even after running on incognito or clearing the cache.

Appreciate you checking out your internet performance and computer. There is no reported incident with QuickBooks Online running slow at the moment. Let's try the trouble shooting steps below to isolate the situation encountered.

 

  • Try another browser like switching from Chrome to Firefox etc. Or load an Incognito window.
  • Disable any Addons/Extensions in the browser.
  • Make sure the Browser is updated.
  • Try on another device like another computer, tablet or phone.
  • Disable any and all VPN's, Firewalls or Antivirus (like AVG)
  • Try on another network like a new wifi network or mobile hotspot.
