May I know what sales report you've generated? If you create income with a Bank Deposit, this will only show in your Profit & Loss. You'll need to use either an Invoice (for sales on credit) or a Sales Receipt (for cash sales) if you want to see the income on the sales reports.
Additionally, you may pull up the Transaction List by Customer report to show all the customer transactions. Such transactions include invoices, sales receipts, and even bank deposits.
Here’s how you can pull up the report:

Transaction by Customer works OK
Cash transactions, recorded as a sales receipt, do not show in the Profit and Loss Detail report or Balance Sheet report. This is what I need. Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks for coming back, JHW2.
You can consider changing the Report period of the report. This way, we can identify if your sales have been recorded properly. Let me guide you how.
Then, check your business income account again.
Additionally, you can access your account via a private-browser to check if it's browser related of not.
I've also added our article about reconciling accounts in case you need some.

Sales (recorded as Sales Receipt) are showing in "Transaction List By Customer", as suggested, but not in "Profit and Loss Detail" or "Balance Sheet. These results are irrespective of the time period, browser (Chrome, Safari) or private browser. Cash Sales recorded as "Sales Receipt" are also not showing up on the Dashboard which suggests I am experiencing a loss. What other information can I provide to solve this issue?
Hello there, @JHW2,
Reporting income and expenses have two methods. These are accrual and cash. It could be the accounting method you select on the Profit and Loss Detail and Balance Sheet reports is Accrual. This might be the reason why the reports aren't showing the cash sales (sales receipts).
To help you see the sales receipt amounts, lets change the method into cash on the two reports. Let me guide you how.
To learn more about the difference between the two methods, check out this article: Choose Between Cash and Accrual Accounting Methods In Reports.
For your second concern, you can change the date range to make sure the cash sales are included in the Profit and Loss section of the Dashboard. See the screenshot below for your reference.
You can visit this website: Customise Reports. In this link, you can learn more about the basics, sorting, filtering, and setting of date ranges on reports.
I'm here anytime you have other concerns. Have a great day, @JHW2.
The solution was in the "Income Account" for products. Products sold were in "Cash and Sale Equivalents". When changed to "Sales of Product Income", profits are shown correctly in the reports.
