Has anyone else noticed how the dashboard Profit & Loss now doesn't show financial year data? Do we know why this change?

Profit & loss graph in the dashboard not showing financial year data

Hi karmaspages78,

There is a reported product investigation with expense graph in the QBO Dashboard not showing correct figures. This might be related to your issue in the Profit and Loss. I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. That way, they can check your account and escalate the behavior encountered to our engineers for a fix. Since we are on a public space we cannot ask for your details for security purposes.

To contact support:

  1. Click on the Help (?) icon.
  2. Click on Contact Us.
  3. Enter a short summary of your concern.
  4. Click on Chat us or Call us.
  5. Or use this link https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_AU/contact

Profit & loss graph in the dashboard not showing financial year data

HI, thanks for your reply.  I already contacted your Customer Service and the person who answered my call, didn't know anything about it and didn't believe me that this was an issue and that the financial year options were available before, instead he said that it was by design and that only current calendar year data was available through the dashboard.  hence me reaching out in this forum.  Is there a way this issue can be added to that investigation?  Or open a new one?  Thanks

Thanks for getting back to us.

Appreciate the information you've provided when contacting the customer care team. I'll check other options about your concern.

Let's also check your company settings to verify the financial year set up. Here's how:

  1. Click on the Settings icon.
  2. Click on Account and Settings.
  3. Click on Advanced tab.
  4. Click on Accounting section and locate First month of financial year is set to July.
  5. And First month of tax year is Same as financial year.
  6. Click on Save.

Then, check your Dashboard once more to verify if it is udpated now. If the current set up is the same above, let's toggle it to a diferent month, then Save. Then, switch it back to July and save it once more. Now verify the dashboard page if this makes a difference.

Send a reply in this thread if you need more  help with QuickBooks.

Profit & loss graph in the dashboard not showing financial year data

Hi Again, this works, but I have to constantly go back to settings and re-save the financial year settings so that I can see the financial year data.  The options disappear after a while of being logged in and every time I login I have to repeat the process also.

Can this please be permanently fixed at your end?

Thanks!

Hi there,

A product investigation has been created for this behavior and our team has reached out to developers to check if it is possible to include other date filters in the widget.

I recommend also sending your product feedback to your QuickBooks Online account by clicking the Settings icon and then the Feedback option. Your feedback goes directly to our Product Developers to inform them of the option you need in QuickBooks Online.

In the meantime, please run the Profit and Loss report in the Reports tab.

Post again in the Community if you need more help with QBO.
