Hi LF7, sorry to hear about your experience on this. We have commenced our email communication to our customers regarding this prices change since 4th December 2019. May I confirm you didn't receive any notification in December and how did you find out about this price change, please? Thank you and look forward to hear from you.
NOT VERY HAPPY ABOUT SUCH A BIG INCREASE IT HAS JUMPED IN PRICE SO MUCH OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS I I WILL BE LOOKING AT OTHER OPTIONS
Hi Jan, sorry that's how you feel. Since our launch in Australia 6 years ago in 2013, this is the first time we are increasing the price of Self Employed, Simple Start and Essentials plans. QuickBooks remains one the most competitively priced cloud accounting solution in the market. We will continue to invest in the latest innovation as well as best-in-class support with our multi award winning team.
I'm very disappointed in the price rises!
When I started using QuickBooks Online Plus I was being charged around $30.00 per month. that was only a couple of years ago. Now its $50! That's too much for a sole trader micro business - and if I downgrade to a less expensive plan, I will no doubt lose data I have and the features I need.
Most home-based micro businesses in Australia (and globally) are run by women. I'm sure I'm not the only work-from-home mother being adversely impacted by these price hikes, and frankly, its not good enough!
Hi Lisa24,

Hi Zac,
I found out about the price increase yesterday, when I logged into QuickBooks, a box popped up right in the middle of my dashboard. Currently I pay $38.50 for the online plus subscription, so the increase is $11.50 a month not just the $10 Intuit is stating. Perhaps the pop up box should have been enabled much sooner than 4 days prior to the increase. An $11.50 per month increase is unwarranted and excessive. STP was a legislation requirement, so to continue with a payroll program in Australia, Intuit was required to make the changes, it called compliance.
Hi Netcortex,
We understand it may be a significant change on your subscription cost however, we also don’t take these price changes lightly as we know how important cash flow is to business owners. However, by leveling out product prices we can ensure fairness throughout our customer base and continue to invest in our QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Accountant products, while keeping pricing competitive.

We also continue to enhance the quality of our products and services to better help our customers manage their businesses, eliminate the mundane, and find long-term success.

Cheers!
I'm very annoyed at the price increase that I was emailed about today. I am a new customer of less than 12 months, with a monthly charge of $10.49 it is now going to almost double to $20 a month so the email said. How can you justify such a steep increase. I know I'd have no customers left if I doubled my prices.
Thanks for joining this conversation, @Erinj. I can see how the price increase affects your business. Our product developers made some updates in the program last year (2019) to meet your needs. Everything we have developed within QuickBooks derives from listening to customers.
To make sure your voice will be heard, I'll pass along your feedback about the price rates to our development team.
Let me know if you have any more concerns. I'm here to listen and provide you with my utmost support.
