Turn off 2 Factor Authentication

Having to wait for sms with 6 digit code every time I login (2-3 times a day). Estimate 10 minute loss of productivity per week waiting for sms. 500 min lost per year.

How do I switch off 2 factor authentication!!!!

Turn off 2 Factor Authentication

Your concerns about the time spent waiting for SMS codes and the resulting impact on your productivity can be challenging, adamm1.

I'll guide you through turning off the two-factor authentication in your account.

Please note that two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to your accounts. Since disabling this feature will be able to streamline your workflow, here's how to do it:

  1. Sign in to your Intuit Account.
  2. From the left menu, select the Sign in & security tab.
  3. Select 2-step verification.
  4. Turn off the Use 2-step verification switch.
  5. Enter your account password, then select Continue.

To learn more about managing two-step verification in QuickBooks Online (QBO), consider checking out this article: Verify your QuickBooks Online account with multi-factor authentication or two-step verification.

I'm also sharing this article about managing your account for your reference: Access and manage your personal data from your Intuit Account.
