Hi there, GCS,
The GST Amendments reports serve as a statement for your transactions containing GST that has been added, modified or deleted in prior lodged periods. And, have changed the company's GST liability.
A GST Exception report is available in QuickBooks Online. However, we refer to it as the BAS Amendment Report.
In March 2018 QuickBooks started rolling out a new GST experience. This will happen gradually over a while. If you can see View reports, you are in the classic experience or if you can see Run reports, you are on the new experience.
Please follow the relevant steps below based on the GST experience you are in.

You have the option to export it to Excel if you wish to have a soft copy. Just click the Export icon, then select Export to Excel. It will allow you to save the file somewhere you can easily find. Just click Enable Editing to view the full report in Excel.
You can also create custom reports to get the data that matters to you most.
Keep me posted if there's anything else you need, and I always have your back.
Thank you and stay safe!
I was searching through the article thinking the same question as the original post. However, this post did not answer the question, it only showed how to run the report. I have the same question but I'll rephrase it. When a change is made to a transaction in a previous BAS/GSt period, it appears on the GST amendment report, but I can't see any reference to it on the GST summary report for the current period. So the question is does QBO use the amendments in calculating the GST on the BAS or do we have to do something with the amendment report? thanks
Thanks for getting back to us, pawhouse.
If there is an amendment showing in your GST, you can request the specific BAS period to be unlodged by contacting our Customer Care Team. Basically a GST amendment is a change made to a previous period lodged. The amendments are not only tracked but will also affect your next BAS lodgement.
We'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team to request the BAS period to be unlodged to account for the amendments to the correct BAS period.
