Hi robp3,

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the community.

It sounds to me like you might have a browser issue.

The best way to troubleshoot this issue is to log into QuickBooks via an incognito window.

For Chrome, press CTRL + SHIFT  + N.

For Firefox, press CTRL + SHIFT + P.

For Safari, press SHIFT + COMMAND + N.

Try this step and see if you still have the same issue, if you do then please reach back out to us and we can try something else.

Kristian.

Thanks Kristian

Yes, QBO worked fine in the incognito browser.

I also logged in via Microsoft Explorer and it operated fine through that browser so it does appear there is something wrong with my Chrome browser.

Funnily enough, on my second laptop I don't have any issue operating QBO via chrome browser.

Cheers

Glad to hear the trouble shooting steps provided by Kristian worked out, robp3.

Since it worked out fine using the new incognito window, I’d recommend going back to your default browser and initiate clearing cache on your browser and then, checking the latest version and update. And then, make a hard refresh by restarting the browser.

To update Google Chrome:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More.
  3. Click Update Google Chrome.
  4. If you can’t find this button, you’re on the latest version.
  5. Click Relaunch.

Check for an update and the current browser version

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More.
  3. Click Help > About Google Chrome.
The current version number is the serried of numbers beneath the  Google Chrome heading. Chrome will check for updates when you’re on this page.
  4. To apply  any available updates, click Relaunch.
