6123 cannot contact database error

Are you using the desktop version of QuickBooks? If yes and it is for Australia, you can contact Reckon support team. Or if you're using the QuickBooks Desktop US version, here's how to contact support:  

1. Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact
2. Select QuickBooks Desktop then Continue as guest.
3. Pick Pro or Premier then click on a topic or use the Search for something else button.
