Finalising Pay Run

Hi

I am trying to finalise a pay run in quickbooks and it is not processing - circle keeps going round as if it is but it is not moving through the steps. When I refresh the page the pay is still in finalised and I need to start again. Can anyone please advise what to do? Thanks.

Finalising Pay Run

Hi Melmmurph83,

Let's do some browser troubleshooting to be able to finalise your pay run.

First thing we'll need to do is to access your account on an incognito window or private mode. A private browser does not store any activities, which is why it's a good idea to use it for any unexpected behavior in the program.

Here are keyboard shortcuts you can use depending on the browser you're using:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you're able to create and finalise your pay run in incognito or private window, kindly go back to your regular browser and clear your browser's cache. It is a good idea to clear cache, to remove the temporary internet files and to help the application function properly. Please consider using different browser too.

Feel free to drop a comment below if you need further assistance with finalising a pay run.

Finalising Pay Run

Hi, what do I do if I have gone incognito as well as cleared my cache, and the pay run still won't finalise?

What are my options form there?

Thanks!

Finalising Pay Run

Hi Adam D1,

Thanks for joining the thread! Do we have any error message when trying to finalise a pay run? Furthermore, let's try to use a different browser and try to finalise the pay run. Most of the time, we only need to clear the browser's cache. But if we keep having the same problem even after doing that, we can clear Intuit-specific cookies. This helps refresh website preferences that might be causing problems when we use QuickBooks.

Note: It’s important to only clear Intuit-specific cookies.

Here's how:

  1. At the top right, select the More icon> select Settings.
  2. Select Privacy and security.
  3. Select Third-party cookies.
  4. Click See all site data and permissions.
  5. Type “intuit” in the search bar to find Intuit cookies.
  6. Select Delete all data.
  7. Restart Google Chrome for the changes to take effect.
