Thanks for reaching out to us, welshalan.

Yes, that's possible. You'll have the option to invoice your customer in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Please ensure you have selected the correct region so you're currency is in Australian Dollar (AUD). You can go to the Settings and toggle on the Invoicing feature if you don't see this option in the menu.

Here's how to create an invoice:

  1. Go to the Invoices menu, then Create invoice.
  2. Select an existing or create a new customer and enter their information.
  3. Decide when you want to be paid and set the date in the Due date field.
  4. Click Add work if you want to add an item to the invoice.
  5. Choose Flat rate, By hours, or By item from the dropdown.
  6. Enter an amount, then hit Add to invoice.
  7. Once done, select Send invoice.

For more details, you can review this article: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'm also adding this resource about connecting your bank and credit card account to bring your banking transactions automatically in QuickBooks Self-Employed: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You're welcome to add any details below if you have further questions with invoicing. I'll be here to help you.

@welshalan

QBSE AU version only supports single currency (i.e AUD). You will need a workaround to accept payments in multicurrency.
