sorting invoice by number

In qB Pro it sorts invoices by number and then any letter appended to the end. Example.

001 A

001 B

002

003

003 A

004

QB Online seems to sort by the invoices with a letter first and then sorting the remainder. Example

001 A

001 B

003 A

001

002

003

004

Is there a way to change QBOL to sort like QB Pro. Or Do I need to change the way I number invoices?

Hi MikeCA3,

Let me show you how to change the sorting of invoice number on your reports.

Go to Reports tab and select a report or you may choose Invoice List report.
Click on Sort drop-down menu.
On Sort by drop-down menu select No.
On Sort in, select whether you would like the invoice number show in Ascending order or Descending order.

Please note that the steps provided above only applies when you generate a report from the Reports tab.
