Can anyone advise why an existing annual subscription including 1 payroll is $544.99 but a new subscriber taking the same is only charged $459.29?
I am unsure why there a penalty for remaining a loyal customer.
Why do I continue to pay annually as opposed to lapsing for a day and then getting the lower price as a new subscriber?
I believe the data is available as long as I have a current subscription or is that not true do I have to have a continuing subscription ?
Hi OPT296,
Thanks for posting in the Community!
Your QuickBooks Online subscription fee is paid on top of your payroll plan on file. The payroll fee in the QuickBooks Online Standard payroll plan is $5/employee per month for any finalised pay run in a calendar month and $10 for an advanced payroll plan.
Furthermore, for you to continue using your QuickBooks Online and payroll account you need to have an active subscription. If you decide to cancel the subscription, you can still access your data in the read-only file for 1 year from the cancellation date. We'd recommend exporting your reports and list prior to canceling the account. You can check this link to learn more about What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?
For us to better assist you, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. That way, one of our support care agents can further check your subscription in a secure form.
