I have just sold a vehicle that was financed. I had two transactions. The new buyer paid the finance company directly so the vehicle was unencumbered. The balance of the sale was a seperate cheque to my business so the sales price minus the finance balance. As I have only received the balance how to i represent this in the vehicle finance journal as the buyers payment to finance did not go through my accounts.
