I’m facing an issue in preparing pay run on quarterly basis for closely held employees. I Select Reports, then select Single Touch Payroll under ATO Reporting but couldn’t find quarterly option under pay schedule. I’m attaching screen shot for further clarification.
Hello sana94,
Welcome to the Community space! If you need to report Single Touch Payroll quarterly for closely held employees, you'll have to make sure the employee is set up as Closely held.
If you've verified the employee is set up as closely held employee. Go back to the ATO Reporting and attempt to lodge the pay event.
You'll see the year-to-date amount and details of the employee with in the quarter being reported.
You can check this article to learn more about how to Create and lodge a quarterly pay event for closely held employees.

Hi
Thanks for answering but I already select the closely held employee and quarterly reporting in payrun defaults but afterwards when I click STP under Ato reporting I couldn't find Report closely held employees quarterly button on two tabs are visible i.e. start finalization process and create update event. Previously I attached screen shot of my screen for clarification.
Hi sana94,
Report closely held employees quarterly button only appears for businesses that have finalised pay runs with employees classified as closely held and are using the quarterly basis reporting method. If closely held employees are being reported on a per pay run basis then this button will not appear.
Once you've confirmed that you've set up this options on your employee's profile. Kindly log out and log back in on your QuickBooks Online account and then go to Employees tab and select Single Touch Payroll on Reports.
Let me know how it goes. Thank you.
Thanks for your update, sana94.
