QBO doesn't offer the assembly feature. You need a 3rd party app to integrate with QBO.

I appreciate your time in reaching out to the Community. I'd be happy to provide you with some useful insights and information about inventory processes in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Please note that inventory in QBO does not have sub-products. However, you can create a category in the listing and then make it a subcategory of that category.

Sub-products have been replaced by Categories, which are used to keep track of company sales and help organize reporting. If you have a sub-item, you will need to manually add them separately into QuickBooks to accurately account for your inventory quantity and cost.

Here are the steps to create an inventory item in QBO:

  1. Go to Sales, then Products and Services.
  2. Tap New or Add a product or service.
  3. Select an item type for example. Inventory.
  4. Add all the product details like name, SKU, or category for what you're tracking, then hit Save and close.

Additionally, you can utilise the bundle feature to combine multiple inventories, non-inventory, and service items. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and then select Products and services.
  2. Hit New and then choose Bundle.
  3. Add the product Name.
  4. From the Product/Service table, pick the inventory items to create a bundle.
  5. Hit Save and close.
