Unbilled hours not attached to an client's invoice

The previous person billing clients didn't Add the employee time when she invoiced the client.

I am wondering if it is possible to open the invoice and add the time for it, then save and close to clean these hours up.  Will if effect the general ledger accounts?

This way I can run the unbilled hours and know what is left to invoice.

Unbilled hours not attached to an client's invoice

Let me walk you through the steps in attaching the unbilled hours to your client's invoice, Cyndi.

Yes. QuickBooks Online (QBO) lets you access your recorded invoices and add the unbilled hours. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Locate and open the invoice.
  2. Click on the arrow at the upper-right corner of the page.
  3. Choose the Billable time, then select Add.a27 1.png
  4. Review the other details, then save the transaction.

Adding the unbilled hours can impact your reports or general ledger accounts once the amounts are changed.

If you wish not to affect your record or add those hours to your transactions, open the unbilled hours and uncheck the Billable (/hr) field.

  1. Run the Unbilled Time or Unbilled Charges report from the Reports tab.
  2. Customize and filter the information.
  3. Select the unbilled entries.a27 2.png
  4. Remove the check mark from the Billable (/hr) section.a27 3.png
  5. Select Save or Save and Close.
