Hi :)
I'm using the Logbook Method to track my mileage as a food delivery person. I was advised by the ATO I can claim mileage beyond 5000km instead of being limited by the Cents/KM Method. (I'm using the ATO MyDeductions app to log my mileage).
Is there an option in QB Self Employed to allow/calculate for mileage deductions when the mileage becomes greater than 5000km?
Thank you :)
Hi summery123,
Let me share with you some information about mileage tracking in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
You can claim deductions for the business kilometres you've travelled on up to 3 vehicles, including motorbikes. Your deductions stop once you reach 5,000 km per vehicle. You can continue tracking your kilometres reaching the limit, but it won't give you any additional deductions. Furthermore, you may setup a new vehicle in QuickBooks Self-Employed to track mileage deduction.
You may check on this article on how to automatically track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Let me know if you have any other questions with mileage deduction. I'm here to help.
Thanks for that IntuitAika. I'll just set up another vehicle when I've reached 5000kms just so I can have a broad idea of my potential deductions/P&L on an ongoing basis.
Many thanks again for your help :)
