Creating projects from templates, I can not change the due date to today's date, all dates crossed out till April.

Hi nicslat,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

I've replicated your concern about being able to set today's date when creating new project template and is working on my end and able to set today's date. QuickBooks collects cache files. These files will become outdated or broken with time and can lead to issues such as being select a specific due date. With this, I'd recommend pressing the CTRL+Shift and Delete keys on your keyboard to clear the cache. You can also use another compatible browser to get rid of the error messages.

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

Once you're in, try to create a new project template and see if you can select the due date. If it goes through, you can proceed to clear your browser's cache. Refer to this article for the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to post again in the Community if you have further concern. I am around to help you.

Hi,

I have cleared the cache.  I am using the BAS template already in QBOA, I can change the first due date by typing over the date, if I select the calendar icon, all dates before, 19th April are crossed out, if I over write the date manually I cannot select the save button.  Which is greyed out.

I am trying to create the December BAS as a project and make it recurring, from the existing template.

Hi nicslat,

Appreciate you trying the trouble shooting steps above and adding the project template you're using. Upon further replicating your concern, at the moment we can only select future due dates when creating a new projects template in QuickBooks Online.

I recommend sending your product feedback to be able to select previous dates when creating a projects template using the steps below:

  1. Select Settings ⚙, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Your valuable feedback goes to our Product Development team to help improve your experience in QuickBooks Online.

If you need further assistance with your projects template, I would recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. That way, they can help check your template.
