Does the vacation leave $$ balance increase in QBO automatically when you increase someone's salary?

Does the vacation leave balance get adjusted when you increase someone's salary? For example, if a salary is $50,000/yr = $25.30/hr, and the person has 100 hours available, the amount is $2,530 but if we adjust the salary to $80,000/yr, = $40.49/hr, is the person not entitled to $4,048.58 in leave?

Hi sheilap,

 

The leave accruals and balance of an employee is based on the leave category set up in your payroll settings. Here's how to check the settings.:

 

  1. Go to Payroll tab and select Payroll Settings.
  2. Select Leave Categories
  3. Locate and click on the leave category, tick Automatically accrues.
  4. Then click Save
