How do I remove a note on a payslip

Hi cvo1,

 

You'll have to unlock and refinalise the pay run to be able to remove the notes on a payslip in QuickBooks Online Payroll. Unlocking a pay run will enable you to edit, update and recalculate the values associated with a chosen pay run.

 

To unlock a pay run:

 

  1. Click on the Pay Runs tab.
  2. Locate and click on the payrun.
  3. Click on Pay Run Actions.
  4. Click on Unlock.
  5. Enter a reason to unlock the pay run.
  6. Click on Unlock.

Another work around is to untick the box Show line notes in your Pay Slips settings to not show the Notes on your pay slips. Here's how:

 

  1. Click on the Employees or Payroll tab.
  2. Click on the Payroll Settings.
  3. Click on Pay Slips.
  4. Under Section visibility, untick box for Show line notes.
  5. Click on Save.

 

Then, go back to the pay run and let's view the payslip once more. The notes line should no longer show up on your pay slips.
