How do I setup QB & Beam for employee voluntary superannuation contributions?

You can set up Beam and automate super payments in QuickBooks Online Payroll using the steps below. Here's how:

 

  1. Click on the Payroll tab.
  2. Click on Payroll Settings then select Superannuation.
  3. Select Register with Beam.
  4. Enter in your Business details, Business address and Contact details, then select Next.
  5. Enter Payment method and details, then select Next.
  6. Nominate your Default super fund then select Next.
  7. Read and confirm you have read the Terms and Conditions, then select Next.
  8. Select Back to payroll.

Once set up, after you have processed and finalised pay runs with super contribution on them, you can now automate super payments using Beam. 

 

Here's how to:

 

  1. Go to Payroll and select the Reports tab.
  2. Select Super Payments.
  3. Select New Super Payment Batch.
  4. Select the appropriate filters (for example, Date Range, Pay Schedule, Contribution type) and then select Filter.
  5. Select Create Batch.
  6. Select Submit.
  7. Select your Payment Method.
