I accidentally included employees in the pay run who did not work this pay cycle (forgot to disclude them) and I've already finalised the pay run. What do I need to do?

Can I edit the pay run after I have finalised it?

Hi, @travisfita. It is good that you noticed right away that you added an employee who should be excluded from your finalised pay run. This way, we can correct it as soon as possible.

Yes, you can still edit your pay run even after finalising it by unlocking the cycle. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll section.
  2. Choose Pay Runs.
  3. Pick the finalised pay period you want to edit.

  4. Click the Pay Run Actions dropdown and select Unlock.

  5. Enter the reason why you want to edit it. Then Unlock.

  6. Locate the employee you want to remove and tap the profile.
  7. Move to the Actions tab below and exclude them by selecting Exclude from pay run.
  8. Once done, finalised it again.

Processing payroll is an essential part of paying your workers on time and making sure the amounts are entered correctly. If you have additional questions about pay runs, you can leave a comment below so we can assist you right away.
