I am a tax agent. I want to know how can i ask for standing authority from my client and do I have to ask for standing authority after each payrun?

To add a Standing Authority:

1. Click on "employees" on the left hand menu side when you are logged in to Quickbooks.
2. Click on the "Payroll settings" on the bottom of the page.
3. Under the first column click on "ATO settings"
4. Click on the Second tab "Electronic Lodgment & STP"
5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Add standing Authority" button.
6. Enter the Name/Email of the client who provided the authority.
7. Enter the date as to when the client has provided the authority.

Please note: Authorise user like a BAS Agent has to keep the written standing authority, just in case ATO will do an Audit so they can provide it.
