I pay weekly and I have an employee who has decided to quit in the first week of FN 16. I added the Finish date as FN-16. I have a feeling that it should have been FN-17. If so, should I create an update event?
In this case you can create an ad hoc pay run to adjust the information and then lodge a Pay Event to update STP. Otherwise if you have already edited the Pay Run, then yes and Update Event will submit the changes to the ATO.

My apologies, if the resignation date is between the 26th October and the 8th November it will be FN16.
