Removing loading from an employees casual wage rate

Hi Guys,

The employee is our only casual employee.

Their payslip keeps showing 25% loading. I have changed the 25% to 0 in pay categories > casual ordinary hours.

The pay slip correctly calculates without the loading, BUT still shows the rate with loading.

ie: $30 per hour X 40 hours = $1200 gross - shows this correctly

but also shows

Base pay rate as $37.50 including $7.50 loading

How do i remove the note about loading from the pay slip?

So frustrating....

Removing loading from an employees casual wage rate

Hi adminilinc,

Yes, it is correct to change the loading of employee's primary pay category to 0% in Pay Categories section.

Then, on the pay run let's click on Actions button and select Recalculate. Then try to View Draft Pay Slips to confirm if the loading is still showing.

Other way around is to unlock and refinalise the pay run to reflect the changes made on the Payroll Settings

Here's how to unlock a finalised pay run:

  1. Go to Employees tab and select Pay Runs
  2. Open a pay run.
  3. On Pay Run Actions drop-down menu, select Unlock.

Once you've confirmed that the pay slip no longer shows the loading, you can refinalise the pay run.
