Hi Stuart,

 

There is a default leave category prebuilt by the payroll system Personal/Carer's Leave (10 days) in the leave categories section. If you require to set this leave category to 12 days, you can adjust it either in Opening balances section of the employee or through a leave adjustment in the pay run.

 

  1. Click on the Payroll tab.
  2. If creating a new pay run, select New Pay Run and select the pay schedule, pay period ending date and pay date, then Create. If amending in an existing pay run, click on one of your pay runs to open it up. 
  3. Select the employee's name to expand their earnings.
  4. Click the green Actions button, then select Adjust Leave
  5. This creates a Leave Adjustment line. Choose the leave category and enter the units depending on what you would like the balance to be. If the balance is already at 10 days, you can add 2 more.
  6. Select Save, then Finalise Pay Run.

Once done, this should show the leave balance for personal carer's leave to 12 days when we go to the employee details and click leave allowances.

 

To view the last of leave categories in your payroll account, let's use the steps below:

 

  1. Click on the Payroll tab.
  2. Click on Payroll Settings.
  3. Click on Leave Categories.
  4. Check the leave category to view the set up.
