Good day.
Got an EFILE error # 95548 today, both line 50339 and 50340 are ZERO. Talked to the EFILE help desk, the agent checked the file and told me there is a penny showing on line 50340. I tried to override the line 50340 to ZERO (even though it is already zero) and filed again, still failed. The agent said it is a problem that the software provider should take care of. Please advise.
Thanks

Hi, can you open form T1EFILE, and overwrite box 50340 from there?
Had the same thing happen and I found that Profile put 1.00 on line 50340 even though there was no CPP withheld and no CPP Pensionable earnings on T4. Wasted 20 minutes at peak tax time comparing this year's return to last year's to try and determine where the error was. Exact same return as last year except there was no amount in 50340 in 2022.
Over rode 50340 and deleted the 1.00. Efile went through.
I don't understand why this program (that is not new) has so many faults. If you want to hire me for quality assurance you are welcome to contact me but I suppose it's cheaper to have your paying clients figure it out for you.
Thank you for sharing your experience. The line 50340 is ZERO on my end, and even I override it to ZERO, the EFILE desk agent said he still can see there is a penny showing on line 50340. Please help to fix this issue ASAP. My client has a balance owing and her return needs to be filed before April 30.
Did you clear the "CRA Errors" in the File Properties screen before trying to efile again?
Thank you for your reply. The CRA error must be cleared first otherwise you can't EFILE.
