How do i assign foreign currency to products and services? I have created products in Lao Kip and also have the supplier in Kip, but when entering a expense it is usd

@B-Vox

I would recommend opening a Wise Business account. You will send recurring invoices in GBP and receive payments in GBP easily with a local bank detail You can convert your GBP balance to AUD and/or withdraw it to your local bank in AU anytime. You can utilize the bank feeds to your QBO account later.

This is so sad. We obviously have the same problem, having recurring invoices at a fixed price in a foreign currency (EUR with GBP home currency). Is it really that hard to add a currency to Products and Services ? The world is changing and more and more cross border sales are happening. You need to adapt to the needs of your clients.

Why not implement the feature without inventory tracking first ? that would be a big step forward. Thanks

Yes! I have the same problem as B-Vox. I get that I can manually edit the price on my invoice every time. But this is very annoying since it's a manually recurring monthly invoice. I should be able to set my service in GBP since I invoice in GBP and get paid in GBP. It would be one thing if this were a rare occurrence, but when it happens on a regular basis, it's frustrating. And rather short-sighted of QB to tell us we just need to manually edit. This needs to be changed.

Hello, @twinsygirl.

Thank you for chiming in on this thread and sharing your query about invoices.

We understand that manually editing the price of the item for an invoice is time-consuming. However, as provided by my peer above, we’d recommend submitting this feedback to our Product Development Team as we value your suggestions. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Feedback
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Tick Next to submit feedback.

From there, they can review your suggestion and might consider adding it in future updates.

Furthermore, please visit our Feedback forum page to see a list of other QuickBooks users who have already suggested this feature, as well as the recent updates in QuickBooks.

Additionally, here’s an article that may come in handy when you’re ready to receive and make payments for a foreign invoice in foreign currency: Receiving and making payment for a foreign invoice/ bill with a foreign currency.
