How to i go about to create the same company name as both supplier and customer?

QuickBooks won't allow you to create a customer or vendor profiles with the same Display name as.

Though you can enter the same details, you just need to make sure their Display name as are slightly different. You can add symbol, letter, or number that makes the names unique. 

For example, I have a customer's Display name as is James. To create his vendor profile, I need to show it as James II.

Here's how to create a customer profile:

1. Click Sales on the left menu and go to the Customers tab.
2. Click the New customer button and enter the details.
3. Click Save.

Here's how to create a vendor profile:

1. Click Expenses on the left menu and go to the Vendors tab.
2. Click the New vendor button and enter the details.
3. Click Save.
