Why Quickbool original invice no have Row number ?

Let me share some information about creating an invoice, @huangch2006.

As a default when creating an invoice, you'll have the number (#), product/service, SKU, description, QTY, rate, and the amount column.

You can actually customize this from here by going to the Gear icon beside the Help icon (?).

However, when you send this invoice to your clients, it will follow the format that you've set from your Custom Form Styles.

You can do it by going to the following steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Custom Form Styles
  2. Click the New style drop-down menu and hit Invoice
  3. Choose either the Design, Content or Emails tab so you can start editing.
  4. Choose the Done button to save the information.

Please check this article for more information: Customise your invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online

Why Quickbool original invice no have Row number ?

Hi there, @huangch2006.

As my colleague MaryJoyD stated above, when creating an invoice, you'll have the number (#), product/service, SKU, description, QTY, Rate, and the Amount column. 1.png

If you don't see the invoice row number in your end, let's perform some browser troubleshooting steps to check if this is a web browser-related issue. Sometimes stored cache from your browser for a long period can affect the views and performance of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

To start, let's access your account via a private/incognito window. You may use these keyboard shortcuts in opening a private/incognito window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you're able to see the invoice row number while in a private/incognito window, then we'll have to clear your regular browser cache. This way, it'll optimize your regular browser performance and prevents unusual behavior from your browser.

If the issue persists, I suggest using another supported browser.

Then, in case you want to learn how to customise sales form in your QBO account, feel free to check this article for the detailed steps: Customise Sales Forms.
