If the payments are downloaded from your bank, this should be matched to the existing transactions you entered in QuickBooks. Otherwise, it gets duplicated if you've added the transactions instead.

Additionally, you'll want to verify if you have duplicate payment in your bank register. From there, you can delete it to correct your books. Here's how:
