Hello there, @contracts-hy-me-.
You're unable to do a backup of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company file on your end. This is because QuickBooks automatically do it for you with the same level of security used by banks and financial institutions.
You can read this article to learn more about how we keep your QBO data safe and secure: Do I need to back up my data with QuickBooks Online?.
However, you can download your data from QBO. To do this, export your reports (General Ledger and Profit and Loss) and lists (Customers and Suppliers) into individual Excel files and save them to your local hard drive.
For the complete guide, you can refer to this article: Export data, reports, lists, and more from QuickBooks Online.
Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference to guide you in managing your business's growth and transactions in QBO: QuickBooks Learn and Support. It includes help articles, Community discussions with other users, and video tutorials, to name a few.
Let me know if you have other concerns about managing your company files and transactions in QBO. I'm always here to help. Take care, and have a great day, @contracts-hy-me-.
