I know how important it is for you to keep an up-to-date record of your transactions, Andreas. Allow me to share some troubleshooting steps to download your entries as before.

I noticed that the connection has been working fine before. Since PayPal has stopped downloading your transactions since February 2023, can you tell me if you're getting error messages that could have affected the issue?

To address the problem now, you can initiate a manual download to bring your most recent transactions. To start:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click on Banking at the left pane, then go to the Banking.
  3. Select your bank, then tap on Update.

After that, the system will retrieve any new transactions.

If the same thing happens, you might want to review the additional solutions from this article to narrow down the result: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online. The same material will give you tips on how to fix specific bank errors.

On the other hand, you may choose to import your PayPal transactions into QBO manually by utilizing an Excel CSV file. It'll allow you to continue tracking your financial transactions on time.

After successfully importing your data into QuickBooks, you can review and categorize them into the appropriate accounts.

If you have follow-up questions about your PayPal entries, let me know by leaving a comment below. I'm just a few clicks away to help you again. Have a good one!

Hello there, AndreasP.

I recognize all your efforts in trying to get the PayPal transactions to show in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm here to help ensure the troubleshooting is a breeze for you.

In instances where downloads appear to be delayed or stuck, the issue may be on the bank's end. Let's go to your Financial Institution's (FI) website to check if it's the issue.

Before we start, check the URL the online program uses to link PayPal. This is to ensure you can sign in to the account seamlessly.

Here's how:

  1. In QBO, head to the Transactions tab on the left panel and choose Bank transactions.
  2. Select Link account. Please know that you won’t add the account, but only need the listed URL.
  3. Look for your bank and select it.
  4. From there, copy the URL listed for your FI account.
  5. Log in to your FI's website using the copied URL.

From there, look for the following:

  • Check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  • Look for any display issues as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  • Check your bank’s website for any announcements about new security requirements.

If you're unable to find any notifications or alerts, I recommend contacting our QBO Care Team for further assistance. They can review your online banking setup in a secure space and conduct an investigation to determine the appropriate fix.

Once you have your banking entries in QBO, classify them into the correct category for an easy reconciliation process. You can also save this link in your browser for future use: Online resources. It contains topics about managing deposits and troubleshooting other banking issues to name a few.

Reach out to me again if you have any questions or clarifications about managing your PayPal account and transactions. I'll get back to answer them for you.
