Connecting SCB to my Quickbooks

Let me help you connect your Standard Chartered Savings account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), YASMEENCOLE.

When you connect your account, QuickBooks automatically retrieves and categorizes bank and credit card transactions. Follow the steps below to connect with your bank:

  1. Go to the Banking menu, and select the Banking tab.
  2. Click Connect Account on the landing page if this is your first time connecting. We can also select Add account or Link account if you've already created one.
  3. Search for your bank. You can connect with most banks, even small credit unions.
  4. Tap Continue and enter the username and password you use for your bank's website in the window.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks. It may take a few minutes to connect.
  6. Select the bank or credit card accounts you want to connect (savings, current, or credit card). You should see all of your available accounts at your bank or credit card company.
  7. For each account, you connect, select the matching account type from the dropdowns. These are accounts on your chart of accounts in QuickBooks.
  8. Select how far back you want to download transactions. Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months.
  9. Click Connect.

For more information, you can review this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online. Simply follow the procedures and details in this article to look up your bank when you connect it to online banking in QBO: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking

If you've tried all the options that match your bank's name and still can't connect, or if your bank doesn't appear, contact assistance. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. Click Add account.
  3. Search for the name of your financial institution.
  4. If you’re still unable to find your bank, select Request support for your bank.
  5. Enter your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request. 2.PNG

In the meantime, you'll want to manually upload your bank transactions to QBO. Once done, please refer to this link on how to add your entries to the correct account: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

You can count on me whenever you need assistance managing your bank and transactions. I'll be more than happy to work with you again. Have a good one and keep safe.
