Hi, are we able to prepare the financial report using physical period instead of calendar period?

Hello @puayhian,

Welcome to the Community. Let me provide some information about the financial reports in QuickBooks.

If you're referring to fiscal instead of a calendar period, yes, you can prepare the report data using that way. The Custom option for the reporting period allows you to choose your own set of dates.

Here's how:

  1. On the left navigation bar, click Reports.
  2. Select the financial report.
  3. Below Report period, choose Custom.
  4. Enter the dates.
  5. Hit Run report.

Also, I recommend reviewing the settings of your account to ensure the month for the fiscal year is correct. This way, the reporting feature will show the financial data accurately on your end.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon on the top menu.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. Tap the Advanced tab.
  4. Go to the Accounting section to modify it.
  5. Select the appropriate month from the First month of fiscal year drop-down. You can contact your accountant if you need further assistance with this one.
  6. Hit Save.
  7. Press Done to exit.
