me need a report sales by salesman type

Hello there, Khalil. The Sales by Representative report (Sales by Salesman) is currently available only in QuickBooks Desktop. While this feature isn't available in QuickBooks Online, you can use the Sales by Customer Type Detail as an alternative. 

To do this, you'll need to create a Custom field first and add a Salesman (Sales Rep) so it appears on your sales forms. This will also ensure the salesman field is included when you generate the report.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Lists column, select Custom fields.
  3. Click the Add field button.
  4. Enter Salesman (Sales Rep) in the Name box and select Dropdown List as the Data type.
  5. Add the salesmen’s names in the dropdown list items (up to 100 options).
  6. Choose a category, then tick the box for the sales forms (like invoices) you want this field to appear on. 
  7. Toggle on the Print on form option.
  8. Hit Save to complete the process.

 

Once done, you can now select a salesman when creating transactions.

 

Next, once everything is recorded, you can then pull up the Sales by Customer Type Detail report and group it by Salesman (Sales Rep).

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Navigate to the Reports menu in the left-side panel.
  2. Select Standards Reports.
  3. In the Type report name here box, type Sales by Customer Type Detail.
  4. On the report page, click the Group by option (next to the Filter option).
  5. Click the drop-down menu and choose Salesman (Sales Rep).
