How do I hide old bank accounts on display?

I’ll ensure hiding old bank accounts is both simple and convenient for you, Accounting681.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can mark your old bank accounts inactive to hide them in your Chart of Accounts while keeping their historical transactions.

For a detailed walkthrough, here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions page.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Locate the bank account you want to hide.
  4. From the drop-down in the Action column, select Make inactive.

This will hide the account from active views but keep its transactions for historical reference. You can always reactivate a hidden account if needed to view or manage its transactions later.

If you want to completely disconnect an online bank account so it no longer downloads transactions, you can also edit the account details and select Disconnect this account on save.

If you're referring to hiding old bank accounts from the bank accounts tile on the Bank Transactions page, please note that the current functionality only allows hiding all account cards at once, not individual ones selectively.
