Is there a way to export an itemized bill, as a receipt?

Yes, there is, @trueeast. I’d be glad to discuss it with you.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) offers compatible tools that can be integrated easily to help users achieve specific tasks and streamline processes. You can use a third-party app to export your itemized bill as a receipt. Simply visit your Apps menu to find one. I’m glad to show you the steps:

  1. Open your QBO account.
  2. Go to your Apps menu, then Find apps.
  3. Enter a keyword on the Search field, then select the application.
  4. You can click the Overview, Pricing, Reviews, and FAQs to view the app features and how it works.
  5. Select Get app now once decided.

Here’s an article that provides information about the following reports and lists that can be exported in the program: Export data, reports, lists, and more from QBO.

Please know that I appreciate your time reaching out to the Community for assistance. If you need more help managing your vendor transactions, you can tag me anytime in your reply. I’ll be more than happy to help. Take care always!

Is there a way to export an itemized bill, as a receipt?

So there is no way within QuickBooks Online to export an itemized bill that I created without having to use a third party app?

Hello @trueeast,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us regarding exporting data. I'm here to provide some clarification about the feature you need in QuickBooks Online.

Yes, you're correct. A direct way to export an itemized bill directly within our system is unavailable.

For now, you can follow the recommendation of my colleague. I know how beneficial being able to perform this ability directly in QuickBooks.

Our product engineers provide updates regularly to improve the features and options. For now, I encourage you to send feedback about the limitation directly to our engineers. We also make changes and adjustments based on user feedback.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile.
  3. Share your feedback.
  4. Hit Next to submit.

We'll post any changes in exporting data in our Export Data article. You can check out this link to stay up-to-date on the process: Export Data out of QuickBooks Online.

Let us know if you have more questions about the tasks you want to perform in QuickBooks. The Community and I will be happy to help you some more. Have a good one.

Is there a way to export an itemized bill, as a receipt?

Actually, you can.

You have to open the bill, choose "transaction journal" from the "More" option at the bottom, and then you can export the bill as an Excel doc or pdf.

Thanks for the help.
