Cannot connect to my bank account

Hi there, accounts.

If you encounter any specific error messages or codes while connecting your bank account, here are some helpful articles that will help you connect your bank account in QuickBooks:

On the other hand, if your bank institution isn't supported by QuickBooks, you can manually upload your bank transactions using Webconnect. You can follow the steps under Upload or Import bank transactions in this article: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1145233

I'll be around if you have any questions about QuickBooks.

But you can not if your bank (in my case ING Bank) saves the CSV file with a date format YYYYMMDD format. The import does not allow this format, strangely enough. There is also no easy way to solve this unless you are very good in Excel, but simply changing of the cells in Excel does not work for me either. Disappointed since I just resubscribed. I also requested may times that this very large bank would be added to the list of banks (Freshbooks has it), to no avail....

Cannot connect to my bank account

hi @DElbe ,

In Excel, if you want to convert date to text with yyyymmdd format, you can use this formula:

1. Select a blank cell next to your date, for instance. A1 is your original date, B1 is your converted date

2. Type this formula in B1 =TEXT(A1; "yyyymmdd"), and press Enter key.

3. Drag AutoFill handle over the cells needed this formula.

Hope it helps.
