Online banking is a powerful tool within QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can follow the outlined steps below to get your bank account connected.

1. Log in to your QBO account.
2. Go to your Transactions or Banking menu, then select Banking.
3. Select Connect account if this is your first time connecting. Otherwise, click Link account.
4. Search for your bank, then tap Continue. If it doesn’t appear, you can request it. See Step 3 in this support guide.
5. Sign into your bank by entering your banking username and password.
6. Follow the onscreen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks.
7. Select the type of account you want to connect (savings, checking, or credit card).

Linking your bank's website to QBO is unnecessary once you add the account to the program. The system connects to your bank account via the same mechanism you use to log in directly. All your transactions are downloaded automatically.
