How do I connect my business account with HangSeng Bank (HK)?
I get "error 103" but all my credentials are correct (user, psw and security code).
In addition, I already set ON the Multicurrency option in my QBO account
From my bank side, I have no place to confirm QBO integration.
With Xero the bank connection works smoothly, but in QBO I keep getting the error.
I also tried with other HangSeng bank I found you QBO bank list, but they are all wrong as they say my user name is too long for that bank.
So, the bank I selected at first, is definitely the correct one.
Let me help you get past the error code, @businessmanhk.
Error 103 occurs when credentials entered into QuickBooks Online don’t match with what your financial institution has.
Here are the reasons why you receive an Error 103:
To better isolate this issue, be sure to enter your username and password directly instead of allowing the browser to auto-fill your login credentials.

3. Once completed, log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
4. Let’s perform a manual update on your connected bank account.
a. Go to the Banking menu.
b. Choose the Banking tab.
c. Select your bank account.
d. Click Update.
e. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.
f. Click the Continue update button.

Do you have experience with HangSeng Bank?
I would recommend several solutions. From your side, QuickBooks developer team, get in touch with HangSeng Bank to make sure they recognize your software.
From the user side (my side), I see I can import manually bank statements, but I only have PDF files from bank and there is no way to export CSV or other extensions.
Do you have a CSV file template, so I might fill it up via excel first, then save the CSV again and upload it in QuickBooks.
Alternatively, seems there is no way to use QuickBooks for Hong Kong customers using HangSeng bank and we have to switch to other software
Hi @businessmanhk,
You can use either a 3 or 4-column format for your CSV file. The 3-column template has Date, Description, and Amount. While the 4-column template has Date, Description, Credit, and Debit column.
Please refer to this handy article details and sample template format. Here's the link: Import bank transactions using Excel CSV files.
On the other hand, you'll want to follow these steps below to connect to your bank.
