How can I use the project option?

Hello there! It's great to welcome you to the Community forum. It's my pleasure to help manage projects in QuickBooks Online.

 

Projects are only available in QuickBooks Online Plus and Accountant. You can utilize them to track your project’s profitability. 

 

To turn on the Projects feature in QuickBooks Online:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon, then hit Account and settings.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Locate the Projects section, then click the Edit icon.
  4. Turn on Organise all job-related activity in one place.
  5. Hit Save, then Done.

 

To create a new project:

 

  1. Click the Projects menu.
  2. Click either Start a project or New Project.
  3. Enter the project name in the Project Name field.
  4. Choose the project customer from the Customer dropdown.
  5. Add any notes or details about the project in Notes.
  6. Hit Save.
