I don't have the option to choose bank when adding a new account ?

Having administrator access rights gives you an option to choose a bank, userdeborah.

 

It's possible that you have limited access, that's why you're unable to view some information and add an account. You can contact the admin to grant you access. 

 

However, if you're the administrator and can't see the option, we can perform some steps to fix this issue. There are times that your browser is full of frequently-accessed page resources that cause QuickBooks Online (QBO) to act unusual behavior. You can log in to your QBO account using a private browser. This is to rule out any problems related to your browser. 

 

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

​​​​​​​If it works, clear your browser's cache to speed up the loading process of the QBO website and for the system to start fresh. You can also switch to a different browser.

 

You should now be able to see the option once your access rights are granted or after you've performed the steps above.

 

After you've connected your bank and added your bank account, QuickBooks automatically downloads the latest available transactions, you'll want to review so you can add and match those transactions.
