My client copied the bank account to a thumb drive; how do I upload it to Quickbooks?

Welcome to the Community space, joseph.

I'm here to help you out in importing data from your flash drive into QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks has certain types of data that can be imported. Let me provide you with a list of the information that can be transferred to QuickBooks Online.

  • Bank Data
  • Customers
  • Vendors
  • Chart of Accounts
  • Products and Services
  • Invoices

Also, ensure that you save your data in CSV, QFX or QBO format on a flash drive and import it using the Import Data tool.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner and select Import Data
  2. Pick what data you want to import into QuickBooks.
  3. Locate the saved data and hit Next
  4. Repeat these steps to import other data.

Moreover, I'm adding this helpful article as your reference in importing data from other software into QBO: Import data from other software into QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to return to this post if you have other questions about importing data in QuickBooks Online. I'll be here to lend a hand. Have a good one!

What file format do you have? QBO, CSV, PDF, or other?
