how can I merge two bank accounts, one with account code and then he other without account code

It's nice to have you here in the Community space, Dan. I'm here to help you merge your two bank accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let's get this sorted out.

Before we proceed, it's important to consider the default and special accounts in QBO that you may or may not be able to merge, edit, or deactivate.

Then, if you are referring to your bank's account number on the account code, yes, you can merge two bank accounts as long as they have the same ACCOUNT TYPE and DETAIL TYPE and are not connected to online banking.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Chart of accounts.
  2. Look for the bank account you want to merge.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow next to Account history and hit Edit.

  4. Change the Account name to the bank name you wish to retain and select Save.
  5. Select the Yes, merge account on the prompt message, then hit Save.

I'll add this helpful resource you can refer to in the future: Reconcile an Account. This article contains step-by-step instructions to ensure your accounts are properly reconciled and your financial data remains accurate.
